is producing a new Treo Smartphone with the Microsoft’s operating system. It
is the first time for Palm to use operating software other than it’s own and
will give Microsoft into an opening into a popular smartphone market.
Verizon wireless will distribute the unit.

The VK-2000
produced by Korea's VK releases a cell phone the size of a business card.
Negotiating with Vodaphone to market the 48 gram headset, VK plans to
produce the VK 2100 which incorporates an MP3 player
The iPod Nano
Apple recently iPod Nano and an iTunes enabled cell phone,
the Motorola ROKR with a mere two and four gigabyte storage capacity.which
can hold about 100 songs.

“TV friendly” is the latest convergence point.
It is expected that the sale of
smart phones in 2005 will more than double over the previous year. That is
from 23.5 million in 2004 to about 49 million in 2005.

cell phones. HSDPA can download
about 8 times faster than current. For release in US, Europe and Korea next
year.
Nokia is demonstrating its 6230i,
for the first time. Expected out later in the month, the 1.3-megapixel
camera phone has 32MB of memory and a multimedia card slot. It is Bluetooth
enabled and has a digital-audio player and FM radio.
Motorola is
showing off its 3G Motorola V1150 phone. The 2 megapixel phone has two-way
video calling. The Motorola E790 phone will be released later this month and
will connect to Apple Computer's iTunes music service.

will add VOIP to its RIM
Blackberry
Samsung
is
demonstrating a phone with an integrated 7-megapixel digital camera, the
SCH-V770. The phone comes with a 3x optical zoom, flash, manual focus and
32MB of memory. No plans are in place yet to bring the 7-megapixel camera
phone to the U.S. market. Instead, Samsung is focusing on launching a
5-megapixel camera phone in the United States this year. Also, it aims to
have a 2-megapixel camera phone in the U.S. market in the second quarter.
Samsung
will release an HSDPA

cell phone in the US, Europe and Korea next
year.
Sony Ericsson
is showing off the W800 phone, the first Walkman- branded cell phone. Due
for release in the summer, the cell phone comes with a digital-audio player,
FM radio tuner, will play back MP3 files and has a 2-megapixel camera. It
will have 38MB of free memory for music and images. Additional data can be
stored or accessed through the Memory Stick Duo card slot. Sony Ericsson
will add Voip to its P900
Vodafone
unveils a
prototype TV-enabled cell phone which can show live digital TV.

report that either associates normal cell phone use with brain tumors and
the like or completely denies any such connection. When cell phone producers
sponsor these researches or not used to be an important indicator of how one
accepted the results of the conclusions reached

A Wi-Fi
internet radio is now available where you can access internet radio from
anywhere in the world using a WiFi hotspot.
Stations
based on country, city or simply your favourite radio station, if it streams
through the www, are part of what is called InFusion Portable Internet
Radio.
An
Australian IT company named Torian recently released one of these radios.
About the size of a credit card, it enables those away from home to be up to
date with their local news at home. And then some: like audio recording
direct from the internet, timer recording, mp3 music via an expandable
memory slot, FM receiver, rechargeable Li-Ion batteries.

Enables web enabled cell phones and laptop computers to surf the web

Available on February 1, 2005 are three new
cell phones. What’s new and exciting about these latest cell phone is
capacity of vcast or television over cell phone. They are the much awaited
LG VX 8000, the Samsung SCH-A890 and the Audiovox 8940. All are clamshell
style cell phones and all have 1.3Mp cameras and all are capable of
capturing video. Very similar in size and weight and capability, they all
sport a 1.3Mp camera, they differ in memory with the LG at 64Mb, the Samsung
with 14Mb partitioned memory and the Audiovox with a SD card slot. LG has a
Li-Polymer battery, Samsung and Audiovox have Li-Ion power supplies.Early
criticism of these new phones are that they are quite bulky and none of them
accommodate Bluetooth Technology
